ADV QBO Assistant — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

1. Who we are

ADV IT Performance Corp. ("we"), an Ontario, Canada corporation (adv-it-performance.ca), publishes "ADV QBO Assistant", a private internal tool used only by us to connect to our own QuickBooks Online Canada company. It is not offered to other businesses.

2. Data we access

With authorization through Intuit OAuth 2.0, the App reads accounting data from our own QuickBooks company: chart of accounts, invoices, payments, deposits, expenses, journal entries, and reports. We limit access to what is needed for bookkeeping review (data minimization).

3. How we use it

Data is used only for our own bookkeeping review. The App may propose corrections; changes are written to QuickBooks only after explicit approval by an authorized company user. We do not sell, rent, or share QuickBooks data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Credentials and tokens

The App never asks for or stores your QuickBooks password. OAuth tokens are stored only on the company's own computer, encrypted with the operating system's credential store. They are never committed to source control or shared.

5. Processors

QuickBooks data is processed on company-controlled systems. AI assistants (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI Codex) may process data in the course of our own bookkeeping review. QuickBooks data is not used to train AI models.

6. Logging

The App keeps a local audit log of its actions. The log does not contain secrets.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep data only as long as needed for bookkeeping and for legal record-keeping obligations in Canada. You can disconnect the App at any time, which revokes access, and you can ask us to delete locally stored tokens.

8. Disconnecting

Disconnect from within QuickBooks (Apps → Manage) or ask us. After disconnection, tokens are revoked or deleted and no further data is accessed.
